Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease people can give to each other by coughing. We see more and more Haitians with TB and when they can not get treatment for it, more people will get infected and will die of it. We also see more people getting resistant to the treatment which is an even bigger threat.
Being admitted in a hospital and getting the right medicines everyday (DOTS) is the first step in the right direction to get control of this disease.
The young man in the picture is 21 years old and he was admitted for 2 months for TB treatment. He didn't get better and went home without telling us. I visited him with a Russian cheap cialis at home, we saw a lot of pauverty and were able to take him back with us. We took him in between us on a motorcycle because he had no strenght to sit straight. We expanded the treatment with 60 shots and this story ends with a healthy young man who was able to go home cured.
